Weight loss pills: what to eat, how to last

The new generation of weight loss pills works. But they aren't a replacement for eating differently — they're a window. What you do with that window decides whether the results stick.

The new pills (2026)

Oral Wegovy (semaglutide 25mg)

Novo Nordisk. First oral GLP-1 for weight loss. ~16.6% average weight loss. Must be taken on empty stomach with minimal water.

Foundayo (orforglipron)

Eli Lilly, FDA approved April 2026. Can be taken any time — no food/water restrictions. ~12% average weight loss in trials.

Injectable GLP-1s (Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound)

Still the benchmark. Higher weight loss on average, but require weekly injection.

What actually matters

The drug suppresses appetite. It doesn't teach you to eat differently, protect your muscle, or prevent rebound when you stop. That's the nutrition layer — and it's what Finally Fit does.
